Winemaker Notes
The nose of the 2019 Alpha Omega Era is elegant with notes of savory red and black fruits, fresh coffee grounds, fennel, new leather, and nutmeg. There is a powerful, silky entry on the palate. Notes of integrated dark fruit, damp earth, black tea, and allspice end in a long, seamless finish.

Blend: 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec

Critical Acclaim

Jeb Dunnuck - 97pts
The flagship 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon ERA checks in as 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and the rest Malbec that spent 20 months in 70% new French oak. A gorgeously pure nose of cassis, blueberries, violets, tobacco, and sandalwood give way to a perfectly balanced, full-bodied, layered 2019 that has great tannins, ample mid-palate depth, and a great, great finish. This classic Napa Valley Cabernet does everything right and never puts a foot wrong, showing fabulous complexity, perfect balance, solid structure, and the class to evolve for 30 years or more.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 96pts
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon ERA delivers evocative notes of crème de cassis, plum preserves and wild blueberries with touches of tobacco leaf, pencil lead, clove oil and lilacs, plus a hint of crushed rocks. Full-bodied, taut and muscular with exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and bold freshness to support tightly wound flavors, it finishes long and perfumed.

Wine Enthusiast - 95pts
A bold, beautiful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec, this is a serious, structured and complex wine. Mostly barrel-fermented and given 20 months in mostly new oak, it is rich, velvety and earth, with hints of dried herb, sage, cedar and tobacco that build around a core of black cherry and plum. Grippy, it will do well in the cellar; enjoy best 2029–2039.
