The wine presents a complex nose of white and yellow-fleshed fruit, citrus, and delicate floral notes, with a full and generous palate marked by the minerality of its marl-rich micro-terroir, complemented by pleasing freshness, a subtle touch of well-integrated oak, and exceptional length, making it an excellent match for finely prepared fish and crustaceans such as lobster or rock lobster, as well as roasted or stewed poultry and white meats, with chicken and morel mushrooms as a particularly fine pairing suggestion.

The unofficial 'eighth grand cru climat', Moutonne is a very exciting wine in 2022. A very sophisticated grand cru with a complex combination of purity, lift and precision on both the nose and palate, freshened with saltiness and iodine notes to finish. Concentrated with ripe fruit character and a lovely balance between power and elegance really lifting this. Wait for several years before broaching.
